Our City in a GardenOur City in a Garden is an urban, Toledo-based system to produce, prepare, distribute, process, and preserve healthy food products in the community, and to accomplish these ends in a manner that stresses environmental sustainability.
CIFT MembershipSince 1995, CIFT has organized and managed a membership-based consortium of food industry companies, their suppliers, and academic institutions. The goal of the consortium is to enhance the economic viability of Ohio's food and agricultural sector through technology.

CIFT's unique experience as food safety educators for fresh produce food safety combined with our food safety experience in food manufacturing makes us an excellent choice for addressing your greenhouse food safety needs. As lead food safety educators for the Ohio and Indiana Risk Management Initiative Programs, we have developed food safety educational programs, materials, and consultation services specifically for greenhouse growers. CIFT also provides consultation services for fresh produce and specialty crop growers. With over six years of experience in Ohio and Indiana we have worked with a wide variety of fresh produce growers to help them understand their food safety and security issues.
