Partnering Research with Entrepreneurs for Business Growth

CIFT has partnered with one of the world's premier scientific research organizations, the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS), to host a technology showcase on Friday, March 12, 2010 from 8:00am to 4:30pm at the Hilton Toledo, 3100 Glendale Ave., Toledo, Ohio.

Emerging Technology Showcase: Partnering for Economic Growth within Food and Agriculture, is unlike any other showcase as it features technologies and projects that provide commercialization opportunities for environmental, energy and food-related businesses.

The objective of this event is to connect businesses either currently engaged in the production of one of the targeted topics or has the potential to license an advanced technology for economic gain or job growth. By partnering organizations with research and industry, commercialization can be achieved and the food and agricultural industry will maintain its role as a significant contributor to Ohio's economy.

Attendees will learn from ARS researchers on:

The ARS is the USDA's chief scientific research agency, helping find solutions to agricultural problems that affect Americans every day - from field to table. The organization works on a $1.1 billion budget annually to ensure high-quality, safe food, and other agricultural products which sustain a competitive agricultural economy.

The registration fee is $50 per person (cash or check payable to EISC, Inc.). Please RSVP by Tuesday, March 9, 2010.
